On December 9, after nearly five months of coordinating, founder and retired wildland firefighter, Jimmy Cantrell, unveiled his nonprofit organization, Fire Rehab Services Inc’s (FRS), logo on Facebook, thanking the community for its support and all involved in its development.

FRS is a 100% nonprofit organization developed by and originating with Cantrell to support first responders on sites of emergency scenes for prolonged periods of time.  In addition to wildfire responders who battle the heat and elements, the FHS will be able to assist any first responders on emergency sites. Cantrell has diligently ensured that the organization is officially approved by the state, has a well-established charter agreement, defined bylaws, a robust business plan, and a fully constituted board of members.

They are currently awaiting a mobile unit with which to deploy assistance. With it the team will provide essential support to first responding crews including water, food, basic medical supplies, etc.. The unit will also provide a climate controlled enclosure in which first responders can hydrate, cool off, or warm up as needed.

All monetary donations can be made at Tower Bank in Jasper. Other donations and further information can be found by contacting Cantrell at (423) 290-1207 or by email FRSinc23@gmail.com.
