Freda Mae Sitz, 79

Freda Mae Sitz, 79, of Jasper, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 1, peacefully at her home. She was married to her husband of fifty-three years, John Sitz. Freda was born on December 25, 1944. She was a member of Mineral Springs Church of God and enjoyed her church family and reading the Bible. Freda also enjoyed cleaning, was very proud of her family, loved gardening and pink flowers. She will be dearly missed.

Freda is preceded in death by her mother; Sara Payne Hibbs; brother, Horace Hibbs; sisters, Robina Hibbs, Rose Jones and Linda Hibbs. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, John Sitz; sons, Jonathan (DeAnna) Sitz, Aaron Sitz; brothers, Raymond (Naomi) Hibbs, Danny (Gail) Hibbs, Paul (Wilma) Hibbs, Johnny (Joyce) Hibbs, Roy (Ruth) Hibbs, Charles Hibbs, Joe (Carol) Hibbs; sisters Rachel Crawford, Wilma (Jimmy) Haun, Sue (John B.) Giles; grandchildren, Emily Sitz, Jonathan D. Sitz, Destin T. Sitz, Brandon C. Prince; several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.

Visitation was held Saturday, May 4, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, May 5, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral services are on Sunday, May 5, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper with Pastor Adam Ramsey and Pastor Doug Ramsey officiating. Freda was laid to rest on Sunday, May 5, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN, immediately following the funeral Service.

Pallbearers are Dewayne Sitz, Bill Hatfield, David Wells, Chad Hibbs, Stephen Hibbs and Jason Colburn. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Tate Funeral Home, LLC, 950 Mel Dixon Lane, Jasper, TN, (423) 942-9500. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.tatefh.com.
