In a release from Steve Lamb, Director of Marion County EMA:
A dry airmass and gusty southwest winds will bring an increased fire danger threat to Marion County. Low relative humidity and wind gusts of 20 -30 mph can cause a fire to quickly get out of hand.
In light of the weather conditions, TN FORESTRY HAS SUSPENDED ALL BURN PERMITS FOR MARION COUNTY THROUGH MONDAY MORNING, MARCH 3.
