December Sobriety Checkpoints

Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting two Sobriety Checkpoints on Thursday, December 11 on Valley View Highway at Coppinger Cove Road, and on Christmas Day on State Highway 156 at the Shelby Rhinehart Bridge. Both checkpoints will be conducted at 9 p.m. and are contingent upon manpower and weather conditions.    

Christmas in a Small Town

Courthouse Square Courthouse Square, Jasper, TN

Jasper’s first ever Christmas in a Small Town event will be held Saturday, December 13 starting at 2 p.m. on Courthouse Square. The annual Christmas Parade will coincide with the event, beginning at 6 p.m. Fireworks are to also go off at 8 p.m. The public is invited to participate.     

Christmas Concert

Kimball Tabernacle of Praise 1491 Battle Creek Rd, South Pittsburg, TN, United States

A Christmas Concert is scheduled to be held Saturday, December 13 at 7 p.m. The concert will take place at the Kimball Tabernacle of Praise and will feature 12 different musicians performing live.  

War of the Doors

Valley View Assisted Living 13960 TN-28, Whitwell, TN, United States

Valley View Assisted Living in Whitwell will be hosting its first ever annual War of the Doors contest. The event will be held from Monday, December 15 until Sunday, December 21. Marion County 4-H Encore Concert

Princess Theatre 215 S Cedar, South Pittsburg

On Thursday, December 18, Marion County’s 4-H Performing Arts Program will be hosting it’s Encore! concert in celebration of the organization’s five year run. The event will take place at The Princess Theatre in South Pittsburg. All tickets are free and can be received via online at www.theprincesstheatretn.com. The concert will start at 7 p.m.

New Year’s Eve Celebration

The city of Chattanooga will be hosting a New Year’s Eve Celebration at Coolidge Park Wednesday, December 31 beginning 4 p.m. until midnight. The event is free of submission. All are welcome to attend.
