The Treasured Quilts of Sequatchie Valley event will be held Saturday, September 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sulphur Spring Global Methodist Church in Whitwell. Admission is $15 including lunch. Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting two Sobriety Checkpoints on Friday, October 3 on State Route at Pocket Road, and on Friday, October 24 on State Highway 27 at Tanner Trail. Both checkpoints will be conducted at 9 p.m. and are contingent upon manpower and weather conditions.
