The Beene Pearson Public Library in South Pittsburg will be hosting its Cook the Book Club event on Thursday, December 18 at 5 p.m. Books will be available at the library for participants and organic flour will also be provided. All guests are encouraged to bring their own jars.
On Thursday, December 18, Marion County’s 4-H Performing Arts Program will be hosting it’s Encore! concert in celebration of the organization’s five year run. Across every Monday and Tuesday of this month, the Beene Pearson Public Library in South Pittsburg will be hosting both a Senior Club each Monday at 10 a.m., as well as Snack & Study every Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting two Sobriety Checkpoints on Friday, January 9 on Highway 28 at Hackworth Road, and on Friday, January 16 on Highway 41 at Marion County Park. Both checkpoints will be conducted at 9 p.m. and are contingent upon manpower and weather conditions.
