Marion County Schools Christmas Break (does not include Richard Hardy) Abbreviated Day on Wednesday, December 20th. Students return on January 5th.

Open house – Orena Humphreys Public Library

There will be an Open House at Orena Humphreys Public Library in Whitwell from 4 - 6 p.m. sponsored by Friends of Marion County TN Libraries. All are welcome to join us. If you would like to become a member, annual dues are $5.00 for single, $10.00 for family and $100 lifetime.

M.L. King Day – No School

In observance of Martin Luther King Day - no school for Marion County schools including Richard Hardy & Kimball Christian Academy

Whitwell Heritage Center Meeting

Whitwell Heritage Center will hold a meeting on January 16, starting at 6pm to discuss the next phase of the center’s proceedings. The meeting will be held by the board and is open to anyone interested and will be located at Whitwell Middle School 1 Butterfly Ln in Whitwell.

Tiger Town Market

Tiger Town Market will resume on January 20th from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. with local crafters, vendors and food trucks. The market will be in the WHS gym at 200 Tiger Trail, Whitwell. Follow the Facebook page for updates on vendors and food trucks available.

Kimball Soccer Registration

Kimball Town Hall 675 Main Street, Kimball, TN

The Kimball Spring 2024 Soccer Online Registration is open now until February 3rd. Scan the QR Code to log in for registration. In person registration will be held on Saturday, January 27 and Saturday, February 3 at town hall.

South Pittsburg Little League Baseball sign-ups

SPHS Gym 717 Elm Ave, South Pittsburg

South Pittsburg Little League Baseball sign-ups will be held at SPHS Gym on January 20th & 27th and February 3rd from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. for ages 4-12. Price is $75. Scan the QR code for online registration.

Birding for Beginners

Chattanooga Audubon Society 900 N. Sanctuary Rd., Chattanooga, TN

Saturday, January 27th at the Chattanooga Audubon Society, 8 a.m. $5 for members of the Chattanooga Audubon Society and $10 for non-members. All fees go toward preserving and conserving natural resources. This event is for those new to birding in order to learn, discover and appreciate local species in their natural habitat. Pre-registration is available
