4th Annual Community Drive Thru Live Nativity
Old Jones Farm 1311 Jones Crossing, Whitwell, TNThis is a free event hosted by the Community of different churches, denominations and individuals who are sharing the story of Jesus. There is no cost and attendees will get a goody bag (while supplies last) and given fruit and cookie from the market upon arrival.
Festival of Lights Parade – Jasper
Courthouse Square Courthouse Square, Jasper, TNThe theme of the 2023 Jasper Christmas parade is "Festival of Lights" and will begin at 6p on December 9th. Floats will be judged by their bright lights and creativity. Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places.
Disney’s The Lion King Jr – Whitwell
Whitwell High School 200 Tiger Trail, Whitwell, TNWhitwell High School presents Disney's The Lion King Jr at Whitwell High School Auditorium on Saturday, Dec. 9th at 6pm and Sunday, Dec. 10th at 3p. Tickets will be sold at the door. $10/adults, $5 students.

Richard Hardy MS Christmas Break
Abbreviated Day on Friday, December 15th. Students return on Thursday, January 4th.
Kimball Christian Academy Christmas Break
Students return to school on January 8th.
Marion Co Schools Christmas Break
Marion County Schools Christmas Break (does not include Richard Hardy) Abbreviated Day on Wednesday, December 20th. Students return on January 5th.
Open house – Orena Humphreys Public Library
There will be an Open House at Orena Humphreys Public Library in Whitwell from 4 - 6 p.m. sponsored by Friends of Marion County TN Libraries. All are welcome to join us. If you would like to become a member, annual dues are $5.00 for single, $10.00 for family and $100 lifetime.

In observance of Martin Luther King Day - no school for Marion County schools including Richard Hardy & Kimball Christian Academy
Whitwell Heritage Center Meeting
Whitwell Heritage Center will hold a meeting on January 16, starting at 6pm to discuss the next phase of the center’s proceedings. The meeting will be held by the board and is open to anyone interested and will be located at Whitwell Middle School 1 Butterfly Ln in Whitwell.
