The annual Halloween Market will be hosted on Saturday, October 4 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in downtown Jasper. All are welcomed to attend and can dress up in their favorite costumes. Orena Humphreys Public Library will be hosting a Kids Chapter Book Club on Tuesday, October 7 at 3:30 p.m.
On Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12, The Caverns in nearby Grundy County will be hosting its 4th Annual Cavefest event. A kick-off party will also be held prior to the event on Friday, October 10. Two-day festival tickets costs $99, with camping included.
The Southern Outlaw Dragboat Association (SODA) will be hosting the Outboard Nationals-Thunder on the Lake drag boat race on both Saturday, October 11 at 9 a.m., as well as Sunday, October 12 at 5 p.m. at Marion County Park. All are welcome to attend.

Powells Crossroads yearly Trunk-or-Treat will take place on Saturday, October 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. directly in the downtown on 105 Highway 27. All are invited and welcomed to attend.
