Powells Crossroads yearly Trunk-or-Treat will take place on Saturday, October 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. directly in the downtown on 105 Highway 27. All are invited and welcomed to attend.
Tennessee Justice Center, a nonprofit for advocating for TennCare/Medicaid and SNAP recipients, will be presenting a session on the potential outcomes in Marion County when the changes come about under the Big Beautiful Bill Act. The session is to be held on Monday, October 27 at 6 p.m. in the auditorium of Jasper Middle School.
The American Legion will be hosting its first annual Costume Ball on Tuesday, October 28 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the American Legion Hall on 300 Elm Avenue in South Pittsburg. The event will be free for all ages to attend.
Chattanooga State’s Kimball campus will be hosting its Kimball Spooktacular event Thursday, October 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Building One within the main hall. All are invited to attend.
On Thursday, October 30, South Pittsburg’s Trunk-or-Treat will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Tower Stage on 4th and 5th Streets. For vendor registration or further information, contact city hall at 423-837-5012.
Freed Ministries in Jasper will be hosting its Operation Freed Christmas event on Sunday, December 7 starting at 10:30 a.m. Donations for new toys and other gifts are now accepted until Friday, December 5 and can be dropped off at the church on 2944 East Valley Road. Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting two Sobriety Checkpoints on Friday, November 7 on State Route 108 at Pocket Road, and on Friday, November 21 on State Highway 27 at Tanner Trail. Both checkpoints will be conducted at 9 p.m. and are contingent upon manpower and weather conditions.
A free Family Movie Night is set for dark on Friday, November 7 in Powells Crossroads Park on 188 Bailey Lane. All are welcome to attend.
Friends of the Library in Marion County will be hosting a Fall Book Sale at Jasper’s Carolyn Stewart Public Library on Friday, November 7 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., as well as Saturday, November 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All are welcome to visit.
