Orena Humphreys Public Library will be hosting their summer reading program beginning on Tuesday, June 3 and ending on Tuesday, July 22. All classes within the program will be held every Tuesday of the week throughout both months except for the week of July 22. Registration for the program is currently open for those
Carolyn Stewart Public Library will be hosting this year’s summer reading program starting Wednesday, June 4 up until its sixth week on Wednesday, July 9, with the last day concluding with a pizza party and movie. Sign-ups will open on Monday, June 2, with age requirements being for children at least two years of age
The Marion County Beer Commission will be hosting a meeting on Wednesday, June 25 at the Marion County Clerk’s Office in Jasper at 10 a.m. The meeting will pertain to a beer license application by Marjorie S. Davenport.
Jasper’s Municipal Library Board will be hosting its scheduled quarterly on Tuesday, July 15 at 5 p.m. at Carolyn Stewart Public Library.

The Jasper Municipal Library Board will be holding a special-called meeting on Thursday, June 12 at 5 p.m. at Carolyn Stewart Public Library’s Community Room. The purpose of the meeting is to review and recommend a new logo design for the library. Additionally, it will also be hosting its regularly scheduled quarterly meeting on Tuesday,
Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting Sobriety Checkpoints on Saturday, June 14th at 9 p.m. on State Route 283 and 27 at the red light, as well as on Friday, June 20th at 9 p.m. on Highway 27 by Tanner Trail. Both checkpoints are contingent upon given weather conditions and manpower.

Jasper’s Big Boom is scheduled to be held on Saturday, July 5 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the ball complex on 700 Philips Avenue.
