Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting Sobriety Checkpoints on Friday, July 11th at 9 p.m. on State Route 108 on Pocket Road, as well as on Friday, July 25th at 9 p.m. on Highway 27 by Tanner Trail. Both checkpoints are contingent upon given weather conditions and manpower.

The 8th Annual Casa of the Sequatchie Valley Rodeo will be held on both Friday, May 30th and Saturday, May 31st at Coops Creek Commons in Dunlap, TN at 7:30 p.m. The gates will be unlocked at 4:30 p.m., followed by a pre-rodeo concert hosted by the Newfound Revival at 5:30 p.m. Ticket prices
Carolyn Stewart Public Library will be hosting this year’s summer reading program starting Wednesday, June 4 up until its sixth week on Wednesday, July 9, with the last day concluding with a pizza party and movie. The Jasper Municipal Library Board will be holding a special-called meeting on Thursday, June 12 at 5 p.m. at Carolyn Stewart Public Library’s Community Room.
