Miss National Cornbread Pageant, South Pittsburg

Princess Theatre 215 S Cedar, South Pittsburg

The Miss National Cornbread Pageant will be held Saturday, March 23rd at 6 p.m. at the Princess Theater. Entry fee is $25 with absolutely no refunds. Cash prizes will be awarded. This pageant is for ages 2-18. For registration dates and more information please call 423-596-8348.

National Cornbread Festival – South Pittsburg

The National Cornbread Festival will be held Saturday & Sunday, April 27th & 28th in downtown South Pittsburg. $10 per day admission at the gate. Pre-School children, free. The carnival starts on Tuesday, April 23rd with wristbands Tuesday - Thursday. Friday and Saturday will be tickets only for the carnival. Street dance Friday, April 26th.

Jasper Big Boom

Jasper’s Big Boom is scheduled to be held on Saturday, July 5 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the ball complex on 700 Philips Avenue. Unity Festival and Car Show

Labor Day Events

The city of Whitwell will be hosting its four day Labor Day events, starting on Friday, August 29 with a Movie in the Park event to be held around dusk. Additional activities include a car show and beard contest on Saturday, August 30, live music to be hosted on Sunday, August 31, and the Labor

First Annual Miners Memorial Day

The first ever annual Miner’s Memorial Day event will be hosted on Saturday, September 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on 6395 Highway 108 in Whitwell. Various activities and vendors will be present during the event, and monument dedicated to miners who’ve worked on Whitwell Mountain will be unveiled at 2:30 p.m. All are

4th Annual Cavefest

On Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12, The Caverns in nearby Grundy County will be hosting its 4th Annual Cavefest event. A kick-off party will also be held prior to the event on Friday, October 10. Two-day festival tickets costs $99, with camping included.

Fall Festival

Removing the Labels, a non-profit organization based in Monteagle, is set to host their first annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 25 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Hannah Pickett Park. Food trucks and vendors will be present, and trick-or-treating is welcomed during the event.

Jasper’s annual Joshua J. Jennings Jack-O-Lantern Jamboree will be returning on Saturday, October 25 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission to the event is free.
