On October the 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25 and 31 from 4 to 8 p.m., the Chattanooga Zoo will be hosting its Boo in the Zoo event. The zoo will conclude regular business hours at 3:30 p.m. ET prior to each evening the event is held. Price of admission is $11.95 for zoo members
On Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12, The Caverns in nearby Grundy County will be hosting its 4th Annual Cavefest event. A kick-off party will also be held prior to the event on Friday, October 10. Two-day festival tickets costs $99, with camping included.
The Southern Outlaw Dragboat Association (SODA) will be hosting the Outboard Nationals-Thunder on the Lake drag boat race on both Saturday, October 11 at 9 a.m., as well as Sunday, October 12 at 5 p.m. at Marion County Park. All are welcome to attend.
The 3rd Annual Spooky Pop-Up event will be held on Saturday, October 18 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Hannah Pickett Park in Monteagle. Entry to the event is free to all.
The Chattanooga Zoo will be hosting its Frights & Pints event on Thursday, October 23 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is only open to those 21+ in age, and ticket prices vary for both zoo memners and non-members. Marion County’s EAA Chapter 1560 is hosting Free Airplane Rides for children ages eight to 17 years old on Saturday, October 25 at the Marion County Airport. Powells Crossroads yearly Trunk-or-Treat will take place on Saturday, October 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. directly in the downtown on 105 Highway 27. All are invited and welcomed to attend.
The American Legion will be hosting its first annual Costume Ball on Tuesday, October 28 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the American Legion Hall on 300 Elm Avenue in South Pittsburg. The event will be free for all ages to attend.
Chattanooga State’s Kimball campus will be hosting its Kimball Spooktacular event Thursday, October 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Building One within the main hall. All are invited to attend.
