Edna Coffman Ware, 94

Edna Coffman Ware, 94 of Chattanooga, TN passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday, May 11 and will be greeted in heaven by family and friends that preceded her on this journey.

She was born on February 4, 1931 in Bridgeport, AL to Jasper William and Nancy Goins Coffman.  She was preceded in death by husband Alfred Ware Jr., her parents, her brothers William “Bill” Coffman and JD Coffman, as well as her sister Juanita Walker.

Survivors include her two daughters Sharon Ware Manley (Steven) and Katherine Noden (Barry), grandson Jerry Harding (Danielle) and two great grandchildren Jacob and David, in addition to many wonderful nephews, nieces and friends.

She was a devoted Christian and loved listening to old southern Gospel music.  She also loved to stay busy in the kitchen, baking wonderful homemade desserts and would always greet you with a baked treat if you came to visit.

A graveside service was held at Cumberland View Cemetery, in Kimball on Thursday, May 15 at 3:30 p.m., with Pastor Roger Webb who officiated.

The family hosted a private viewing.

Pallbearers were family members.

The family would like to thank Hearth Hospice of Chattanooga and Gentle Hands Hospice Care for their support and care during this difficult time.
