On July 1, 1958, Doug Dalrymple was born to Herman and Kathleen Dalrymple of Weirton, West Virginia. Before the foundation of the world the Lord chose Doug to be His child (*Ephesians 1:3-5). His parents were faithful to the Lord and trained him up in the way he should go (*Proverbs 22:6).
Though Doug was born a sinner, he was redeemed by the blood of Jesus and was forgiven of all his trespasses (*Ephesians 1:7 and 2: 8,9).
Because of Christ’s love for him, Doug responded by following this command: “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your soul, and with all your mind and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:30).
Doug steadfastly sought the Lord. He taught his family and others that they needed spiritual sustenance to live and thrive. “{But He answered} Man cannot live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)
This empowered him to be a Godly husband to his best friend Rebecca, father to Kelly Grace and Haley and to cherish his grandchildren Lily, Caleb, Arlie, Wyatt, and Caroline.
Doug was glorified September 20 (*Romans 8:30).
A graveside worship service will be held Sunday, September 22, at 1:30 p.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery, 243 Mel Dixon Lane, Jasper, TN.
*Ephesians 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us for adoption to Himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will.
*Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
*Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.
*Ephesians 2:8,9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
*Romans 8:30 ..and those whom He predestined, He also called, and these whom He called, He also justified; and those whom He justified, He also glorified.
