Dorothy Ann Davis Robinson, 70, of South Pittsburg was born on April 23,1953 to Lucy Louise Gaines and Issac Davis.  She departed her earthly body on February 29 with her family by her side. Dorothy was a resident of Signature Healthcare.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents Clyde and Annie Gaines; husband, James Willie Robinson; brother, Jerry Hale; sister-in-law, Maria Davis. Left to cherish her memories are her brother, William (Billy) Davis, nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends.

Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo and getting excited about the prizes she would win.  She would never give up a ride through downtown South Pittsburg. Dorothy attended Unity Community Church until her health failed. Dorothy was a great soldier.  She fought a good fight, now she has finished the race, no matter how hard the road got, her faith kept her going, now it’s time for her to take her rest.

(Afterglow)

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.

I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the way.

Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun.

Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

By Helen Marshall.
