Actor, motivational speaker, and stand-up comedian, Deztin J. Pryor, professionally known as DJ Pryor, is performing at South Pittsburg’s very own Princess Theatre on September 30, at 7pm.

Pryor is a multi-talented performer in stand-up comedy, acting, motivational speaking and music. The new talent has starred in music videos, commercials with Allstate and Jack Daniels, as well as the upcoming independent film “The Konichiwa Kid.” Recently, the star’s comedy prowess, which he humorously calls his “comojo,” earned him a spot among twenty artists performing at the 2019 CBS Diversity Comedy Sketch Showcase.

Pryor and his wife of eight years, Shanieke Pryor, have two children together, Jabari, 8, and Kingston, 2. Also in 2019, in celebration of Father’s Day, Pryor earned the endearing title of “World’s Favorite Dad” after becoming widely recognized for a viral video where he engaged in a heartwarming conversation with his youngest son, Kingston.

With a diverse background in entertainment, ranging from acting and directing, Pryor has also performed at well-known venues like Zanies in Nashville, TN, and renowned spots in Los Angeles like the Laugh Factory and the Comedy Store. His latest digital project, Laughter is Universal, showcases his ongoing commitment to spreading laughter far and wide, demonstrating that DJ Pryor is a force to be reckoned with in the world of comedy and entertainment.

Reportedly, the newly established managers Alexis and Terran (T-RAN) Gilbert of the Princess Theatre, reached out to Pryor through their company 22Visionz to collaborate and host, and sponsor the event with Pryor.

The Gilberts stated they look forward to showcasing Pryor’s talent at the Princess, welcoming people from Marion County and the surrounding areas to come and enjoy his performance. Tickets are available online at https://www.princesstheatre423.com/ and printed copies are available at Studio 306, 306 S Cedar Ave, South Pittsburg, TN 37380. General admission tickets are $15 each and VIP tickets $35.
