The Local Bar and Grill 2 in Monteagle burned in the early morning hours of Thursday, Aug. 31. Monteagle Fire and Rescue was assisted by fire suppression units from Sewanee, Decherd and Tracy City in fighting the blaze. Both sheriff’s departments of Grundy and Marion counties assisted at the scene and with traffic control. The live music venue will be closed until further notice.
