Dennis Ronald Reitenbaugh, 72

Dennis Ronald Reitenbaugh, 72 of Jasper was called home on Sunday, June 15.  He was formally from Marshalltown, Iowa.  On February 12, 1953, Dennis was born to the late Ronald Reitenbaugh and Wanda Dennison Reitenbaugh in Marshalltown, Iowa.  He was married to Candice Chuck Reitenbaugh and served in the United States Army.  Dennis owned D & C Plumbing Company. In junior high school, he was a great and talented wrestler, earning himself the name of “Benny the Bomber”.  He loved playing golf and was a huge Buffalo Bills fan.  Dennis loved his family and grandchildren, as well as loved spending time with them.  He liked traveling in his motor home, cooking and enjoyed hunting when he lived in Iowa.  Dennis was a very kind and generous man.

Dennis is preceded in death by his father Ronald Reitenbaugh, mother Wanda Dennison Reitenbaugh and brother Tim Reitenbaugh.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Candice Chuck Reitenbaugh, son Christopher D. (Heather)  Reitenbaugh, daughter Kim Cooney (Jeremy Knit), brothers Bradley Versteegh and Steven Reitenbaugh, sisters Rhonda Schmidt, Carol Schultz, Anna Reitenbaugh, Laura Preston, Jody Chandavong and Theresa (Mark) Felix, grandchildren Kayla Reitenbaugh, Christopher J. (Makenzie) Reitenbaugh, Caelum Cooney and Rose Cooney, great grandchildren Ensley Reitenbaugh and Ellie Reitenbaugh, several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 20 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.
