
Debra Joyce Payne, 72 of South Pittsburg was called home on Friday, August 1. On June 1, 1953, she was born to the late Joseph Earl Payne and Mary Joyce Troutman Payne in South Pittsburg. Debra was a quality auditor for Rock Tenn in Jasper for many years. She loved working crossword puzzles, Pirate football and being with her family. She especially loved hanging out with her grandson, Taylor.
Debra is preceded in death by her father Joseph Earl Payne, mother Mary Joyce Troutman Payne, maternal grandparents Doyle and Dora Mae Troutman, as well as paternal grandparents Adam T. and Frances M. Payne.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Heather (Aaron) Bolton, grandchildren Taylor Ramsey, Mallorie Dillon, Alexzondra “Ally” (Bain) Ramsey, Hannah Kelley and Heath Kelley, sister Glenda Hill, several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.
Visitation was on Wednesday, August 6 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, August 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.
Funeral services were also held on Thursday, August 7 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, with Pastor Tony Tuders who officiated.
Debra was laid to rest on Thursday, August 7 at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball immediately after the funeral service was held.
Pallbearers were Robert Casteel, David Payne, C. J. Colon, Eric Colon, Terry Pass and Landon Williams.
