Deborah “Leann” Ewton Ridley, 37, of South Pittsburg (formerly of Dunlap), passed into the loving arms of Jesus, August 30, after a lengthy illness. She was of the Baptist faith and employed by the Marion County School System. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ella Mae Cannon.
Leann is survived by her best friend and love of her life, Colt Ridley; father, Waymon (Amanda) Ewton Jr., Dunlap; mother, DK Hawk of Maryland and step-mother, Rose Atiyeh; brothers, Caleb Ewton, Dunlap, Michale Turner, Spring Hill, TN; grandparents, Waymon (Donna) Ewton, Dunlap, Lillie (Greer) Moody, Rossville, GA; Dickie (Linda) Kell, Pikeville, TN; uncles, Jonathan (Cresta) Ewton, Dunlap; Douglas Ewton, Indiana; aunt Cindy (Steve) Marlowe, Oliver Springs, TN. Parents-in-law Roy (Kim) Ridley who loved her as a daughter; brother-in-law, Rhyley (Caitlyn) Ridley, grandmothers-in-law, Debra Cagle, Carrie Ann Ridley, several great aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, special friend and sister at heart, Becky Ewton, Cookeville, TN.
As much as our hearts are shattered, we know she is with Jesus waiting on her loved ones. Rest in peace our precious Leann until we see you again.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 5, at 1 p.m. in the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home 400 Laurel Avenue, South Pittsburg with Pastor Joe Moore officiating.
Leann will be laid to rest at Ridley Family Cemetery in South Pittsburg.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service in the South Pittsburg Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be Roy Ridley, Rhyley Ridley, Ernie Cagle, Michael Turner, Caleb Ewton, Travis Hargis, Andrew Crabtree, and Stanton Gilliam.
