David Patrick Gibson, 52, of Bridgeport, Alabama was called home on Monday, March 10. On July 31, 1972, David was born to the late Patrick Henry Gibson and Hazel Reed McLemore in South Pittsburg. He worked for Wheland Foundry and was a very outgoing person. David enjoyed fishing, camping and cooking. He loved his dog, Baby Girl, his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
David is preceded in death by his father, Patrick Henry Gibson.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother Hazel Reed McLemore, daughter Stephanie (David Klopp) Gibbs, brother Shaun (Jessica) Gibson, sister Tammy Jenkins, grandchildren David Gibbs, Ronnie Klopp, several nieces, nephews as well as other family members and special friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13 from 3 to 7 pm and on Friday, March 14 from 12 to 2 pm at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 14 at 2 pm in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home with Brother Victor Levan officiating.
David was laid to rest on Friday, March 14 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Jasper immediately following the funeral service.
Pallbearers were David Klopp, Lamont McNabb, Michael Witt, Lonnie Alder, David Gibbs and Tracy Walker.
