Built in the 1930s, and operated by Mrs. T. J. Bloss, the Courtesy Court in South Pittsburg had a fine restaurant and served as a bus stop too. By the 1950s, the business had changed ownership and was known as Clepper’s Courtesy Court. Construction workers helping to erect Widows Creek Steam Plant at Stevenson, Alabama lived in the rooms and ate their breakfast and supper meals at the Courtesy Court.
