Clifford Rector II, age 45 of Jasper was called home on Monday, March 2. Born on October 27, 1980 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he was the beloved son of Clifford Rector Sr. and Patricia Jones Rector. Clifford built his life and livelihood with his hands and his heart. As a self‑employed carpenter, he took pride in his craft and the work he created. Outside of his trade, Clifford found joy in the simple and meaningful moments, fishing on quiet days, listening to music, and grilling for the people he loved. Family was the center of Clifford’s world. He cherished every moment spent with them and was known as a devoted son, a caring brother and a proud Papaw. His presence brought warmth, laughter, and steadiness to those fortunate enough to know him. Clifford’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever remember his kindness, his love, and the many ways he made their lives brighter.
Clifford is preceded in death by his mother Patricia Jones Rector.
Left to cherish his memories are his father Clifford Rector Sr., sons Easton Rector and Kadin (Chasidy) Rector, sisters Christie Clark and Amber (Josh) Talley, grandchildren Elijah Rector and Houston Rector, several nieces and nephews, as well as other family members and friends.
Visitation was on Sunday, March 8 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper. Dakota Jordan spoke a prayer during the end of visitation.
