Clifford Price Jordan, 82

Clifford Price Jordan, 82, of Whitwell was called home on March 25.  On April 20, 1942, Clifford was born to the late Vestel Jordan and Bell Riddle Jordan in Jasper. Clifford served in the United States Air Force.   He was married to Jacqueline Drabbant Jordan.  Clifford was a hard-working man, owning his own roofing business.  He was a family man who took care of his family and made sure they never needed anything.  Clifford loved doing yardwork, being on a tractor, deep sea fishing and canoeing.  Even though he was very strict, he was a caring, loving and protective dad that was always helping his family.  Clifford taught his family life lessons and how to be independent.  He always helped the elderly with their roofs and he was a man of honor, always keeping his word.

Clifford is preceded in death by his father Vestel Jordan, stepfather Jeff Rice, mother Bell Riddle Jordan, brother Tommy Jordan and sister Marcella Grimes.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Jacqueline Drabbant Jordan, sons Mike Ragan, Clifford Wayne (Amy) Jordan, William “Peanut” (Vanita) Williams, Jeff Williams, Stevie (Edith) Jordan, Troy (Deborah) Williams, Justin Price Evans, James Clifford Drabbant, daughters Cyndi Webb, Sharon Nance, Cindy (Tom) Hampton, Cindy Williams, brothers Leonard (Pat) Jordan, Floyd Jordan, Jerry Collins, Francis Collins, sister Connie (David) Reece, 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, as well as other family members and special friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday, March 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.

Funeral services were held on Friday, March 28 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper with Pastor Doug Ramsey and Pastor Chris VanAllman officiating.

Clifford was laid to rest on Friday, March 28 at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper immediately after the funeral service.

Military Honors were presented by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.

Pallbearers were Randy Layne, Jeff Simmons, David Webb, Tommy Womack, Jerry Manasco and Don Dalton.
