Chris Morrison and Don Adkins of the Marion County Board of Commissioners were voted by the board to remain as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the county during the commission’s recent meeting.
During the September meeting, it was made with a motion by Morrison that Commissioner David Abbott would temporarily take the floor as Chairman of the board to allow voting for the next Chairman of the county to begin . Upon doing so, all members of the board unanimously made a motion for Morrison to remain as Chairman of the county commission.
After the vote was made, Chairman Morrison opened the floor to allow voting for the Vice Chairman position. It was made through rollcall vote that Adkins would also remain in his position and serve as the county’s Vice Chairman, with Commissioner Ruric Brandt voting in opposition while Commissioner Paul Schafer abstaining his own vote.
Both Morrison and Adkins are to now once more serve their full terms as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the commission, with them both happy to continue serving the county alongside the board through their designated roles.
