Charles Leonard Walters, Jr. 66

Charles Leonard Walters, Jr. 66, of Jasper was called home to the Lord on August 11. He was born to the late Charles Leonard Walters, Sr. and Bernice Reynolds Layne on March 24, 1958.  Charles was a self-employed mechanic. He had a passion for working on cars. He loved to cook and was always on the go, keeping himself busy with things. Charles loved making people laugh. He knew how to put a smile on your face just by telling one of his many adventurous life stories. Charles had a love, out of this world, for his children and grandchildren. He cherished his family and looked out for the very many friends he had.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janice Rogers; grandparents, Arthur and Willie Walters, Henry and Mattie Reynolds; brother, David Ray Walters and sister, Rosemary Cartwright.

Charles is survived by his sons, Charlie Walters, Jeffery (Brandi) Walters; daughter, Christy Sanders; sisters, Barbara Turner, Patricia Garner; grandchildren, Kayden and Mason Walters, Damion Nunley, Arielle Sanders; several nieces, nephews with very special nephew, Blake Coffelt, other family members and special friends including best friend, Matt Rogers.

Visitation is Thursday, August 15, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper. There will not be a funeral service.
