Charles Leonard Martin, 67, of Ooltewah, Tennessee was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 16. He was born to the late Leonard Martin and Peggy Kelly Martin on November 27, 1957. Charles was married to Bernadette Guinn Martin for 40 years and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Hooker, Georgia. He retired from Cormetech, Inc. as a Supervisor. Charles loved to travel and go on cruises. He loved and played several sports growing up. He especially loved baseball and spending time with his family. He loved his wife, Bernadette, more than anything. Charles would do anything for anyone and had a huge heart. He adored his nieces and nephews and always remembered graduations and other life events.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Bernadette Guinn Martin; brothers, James (Joyce) Martin, Joseph Clifford Martin, Byron (Clara) Kelly; several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.
The family will have visitation on Wednesday, January 22, from Noon to 1 p.m. (1 p.m. to 2 p.m. ET) at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 22, at 1 p.m. (2 p.m. ET) at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper with Reverend Larry Owens officiating.
Charles will be laid to rest on Wednesday, January 22, at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.
