Charles Kenneth Dalton, 86

Charles Kenneth Dalton, 86, of Whitwell passed away on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023 with his loving family by his side.

Charles retired from Widows Creek Steam Plant as machinist.  He was a member and Deacon of Baptist hill Church and a member of the Olive Branch Lodge of Jasper.

He enjoyed camping, singing, and talking with people and working at the church. He was a loving father, papa.  His extended family loved calling him Big Daddy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Belk Dalton, daughter; Janice Yvonne Adkins, daughter-in-law, Tina D. Dalton; granddaughter, Christin Nicole Dalton; parents, Jack and Bertha Culpeper Dalton; five brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife Della Hatfield Dalton, children, Mike Dalton, Don( Angie) Dalton; eight Grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; extended family, Billie and Roger Dickson and their children, sister-in-law, Polly Taylor, sister, Barbara Belk; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 19 in the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home with Steve Sellers and Roger Webb officiating. Interment followed at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens Cementer in Jasper. Pallbearers were Shawn Dalton, Zack Dalton, Brandon Dalton, Derick Adkins, Mark Johnson, and Roger Dickson. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Baptist Hill Church Childrens Fund, 1094 Ra Griffith Hwy, Jasper, Tennessee 37347 or Hearth Hospice.

Arrangements are entrusted to Rogers Funeral Home, 21 East Fifth Street, Jasper, Tennessee 37347.

Rogers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
