Charles Edward Bozarth, Sr., 78, of Whitwell, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 28. On February 2, 1946, he was born to the late William Lawrence Bozarth and Lillie Mae Hamilton Pittman. Charles was married to Linda Lancaster Bozarth for 59 years and attended Ladd’s Chapel Church. He enjoyed traveling, taking walks with his wife Linda, working on cars and rebuilding motors. Charles was a handyman who built his house and also a cabin on his land, he was a jack of all trades. He loved his family and loved spending time with them. Charles was a great dad and provider for his family. He enjoyed all the kids’ graduations and ball games.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Billy McCrary; brother, Patrick Bozarth; sister, Sue Ann Bozarth; and granddaughter, Laci Marie Morris.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Linda Lancaster Bozarth; son, Eddie (Amy) Bozarth; daughters, Cathy Marie McCrary, Susan (Douglas) Bishop; brother, Allen Bozarth; sisters, Wilma Sue Pickett, Mary Dempsey, Debra (Al) Scruggs; grandchildren, William Blake Bozarth, Matthew Boyd Bozarth, Julie (Jonathon) May, Charles Walter (Anna) Morris, Ronald Anthony (Carli) Morris, Amanda (Tate) Rains, Brandon Douglas Bishop, Amber Haley (Hayden) Henry; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.
Visitation is on Friday, January 31, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday, February 1, at 2:30 p.m. at Ladds Switch Cemetery in Guild, Tennessee.
Pallbearers are Anthony Morris, Eddie Bozarth, William Bozarth, Matthew Bozarth, and Brandon Bishop.
