Carolyn Louise Howard, 75 of Whitwell was called home on Saturday, June 21. On July 21, 1949, she was born to the late Jim Howard and Mildred Kindred Howard in Stevenson, Alabama. Carolyn had worked for Rivoli Mills before she retired. She loved her children and grandchildren, being a very dedicated and loving mother to them. She was known to have a “Stubborn Streak” and she loved any song by Elvis Presley.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her father Jim Howard, mother Mildred Kindred Howard, daughter Jamie Smith, as well as brothers Jackie L. Howard Sr., J. C. Howard and Darwin Howard.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons Jackie (Rebecca) Howard Jr. and Christopher Howard, grandchildren Austin Howard, Brycen Howard, Mady Kilgore, Carly Kilgore, Greyson and Kaden Smith, great grandchildren Oaklee Howard and Harper Howard, several nieces, nephews, other family members, as well as special friends.
There will be a private family gathering at a later date.
