Brittany Melinda Roberts born April 17, 1989, at East Ridge Hospital, Brittany met her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 6, with open arms at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Brittany is preceded in death by her mother, Melissa Leeann Smith; paternal grandparents, James C. and Charlotte Smith. Brittany loved more than anything, spending time with her family, especially her niece, James, and friends, watching Tennessee Volunteer Football, her cats, Oliver, Macy, Charlie and Marley, spending time with her husband, taking trips to the beach and watching her flowers grow. Brittany also loved anything that involved pigs and decorated her and Brad’s home with pigs. Brittany was an outreach pharmacy specialist with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee and former pharmacy specialists with Jasper Drug in Jasper. She loved everyone she met and always tried to help anyone that had a need, she had friends everywhere she went. Brittany never met a stranger and was loved by all.
Those left to cherish the precious memories of Brittany are her husband, Brad Roberts; grandmother, Bettye Ann Williams; father, James Charles Smith, Jr.; brother, James Christopher (Taylor Smith); nieces, James Eleanor Smith, Felicia (Shane) King, Vanessa (Tyler) Griffin; cousin, Brandi Patel; mother-in-law, Mamie Roberts; brother-in-law, Adam (Janet) Roberts; nephew, Zach (Tawnee) Roberts; great nieces, Huntlee Roberts, Natalie King; best friends, Sabrina (Blake) Johnson, Keisha (Jason) Beene, Jayden Durham, Tiffany (Devin) Barnes, Laura (Clint) Shrader, several other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and more friends than anyone can count. The world has lost one of its shining lights and will never be the same for anyone that has had the privilege of knowing Brittany.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, November 23, from 9 a.m. to Noon at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 23, at Noon in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper with Pastor Wayne Bowman officiating.
