Brenda Joyce Cline, 81

Brenda Joyce Cline, 81 of Jasper gained her Heavenly wings on Monday, October 13. On November 25, 1943, she was born to W. H. “Stormy” Mears and Vivian Aileen Perry.  Brenda was married to Bervin Cline until his death.  She was a member of Ladd’s Chapel Church of God and was also a homemaker.  Brenda loved to yard sale, do word search puzzles, crocheting and making holiday crafts.  She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She also loved her beloved dog Oreo, with whom she was best friends with.  Brenda was a devout Christian woman who also loved the Lord.

Brenda is preceded in death by her father W. H. “Stormy” Mears, mother Aileen Perry Mears, husband Bervin Cline and brother W. H. Mears Jr.

Left to cherish her memories are her son Scott (Sharon) Cline, daughter Jill (Joe) Allen, brother Tim (Pauline) Mears, sister Vicki (Verble) Guy, grandchildren Joshua Cline, Jason Cline, Christopher Kellogg and Phillip Kellogg, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and special friends.

Visitation was on Wednesday, October 15 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, October 16 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.

Funeral services were also held on Thursday, October 16 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, with Brother Jim Troyer and Brother Charles Kilgore who officiated.

Brenda was laid to rest on Thursday, October 16 at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper immediately after the funeral services were held.

Pallbearers were Phillip Kellogg, Joe Allen, Jason Cline, Joshua Cline, Jeff Smith and Dwight Perry.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Tate Funeral Home, LLC, 950 Mel Dixon Lane, Jasper, Tennessee 37347, 423-942-9500.
