Bobby Richard Michaels Jr., 58, of Sequatchie passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, August 14.
He was a lifelong resident of Sequatchie. Bob was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather. He worked at Vulcan Materials and was a member of the Laborers local 846. Bob enjoyed fishing, golfing and was an avid University of Tennessee fan. He was a member of Coppinger Cove Baptist Church. “Little Bob”, as he was affectionately known, lived and loved with a heart as big as the man he was. “Love you, Love You, Love You” was his good-bye.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willie and Carrie Burden; paternal grandparents, Ernie and Esther Michael; father, Bobby Richard Michaels, Sr.; grandchild, Micah Hope Snyder.
Survivors include his mother, Willie Ruth Michaels Jenkins; son, Mark (April) Michaels; daughter, Kimberly (Daniel) Snyder; grandchildren, Annalee, Cooper, and Rowan Michaels, Kloie, Amellia, and Zeke Snyder; brother, Todd Michaels; sisters, Sherri (Mike) Deakins, Shannon (Mikie) Castle and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 17, at 1 p.m. in the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home 21 East Fifth Street, Jasper, TN with Pastor Chris Turner and Pastor Mike Teague officiating.
Mr. Michaels will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday, August 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service at Rogers Funeral Home Jasper chapel.
Pallbearers will be Todd Michaels, Mike Deakins, Mikie Castle, Mark Michaels, Daniel Snyder, John Michael Deakins, Ryan Deakins, and Kevin Grooms.
