Bobby “Bob” Dempsey, 74, of Pikeville, died Friday, March 8, at his home.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Edley and Martha Dempsey; and brothers, Rick Dempsey and Donnie Dempsey, all of Whitwell. Surviving him are his wife, Norma Dempsey; sons, Roger Dempsey (Terri), Joe Dempsey and Randell Dempsey (Kelley), all of Dunlap; brothers, Jimmy Ray Dempsey of Atlanta, GA and Mark Dempsey of Whitwell; grandchildren, Michael Dempsey (Haley) of Pikeville, Michaela Holland (Coty) of Sparta, Christopher Dempsey of Dunlap, Cortney Dempsey of Dunlap, and Seth Dempsey of Pikeville; great-grandchildren, Greyson, Caden, Roan, Evelyn, Ansley, Jasper and Clara; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Services were held Tuesday, March 12, at noon in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Larry Dishman and Pastor Drew Benson officiating. Burial was in Pickett Cemetery. Visitation was held on Sunday, March 10, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, March 11, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, March 12, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
