Bettye Elizabeth Lowe, 82

Bettye Lowe, 82, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 23.

Bettye was born to the late Roy L. Lewis and Lillian Helen Holloway Lewis on June 10, 1941. She was a homemaker and also owned her own business as a seamstress. She was a great person, kind and caring, always thinking of others before herself. She loved her family and grandchildren. Bettye loved to read, do word puzzles, loved to watch hummingbirds on her back porch and she loved flowers.

Bettye is preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister, Sue Dean. She leaves her memories to her husband James Edward Lowe; daughter, Donna Russell (Steve),  son, James E. Lowe (Karen); daughter, Trina Kirk (Arnold); brother, Ronnie Lewis (Sybil); sister, Brenda Jones (Lane); grandchildren, James Lusk (Kendrea), Kristen Sneed (Daniel), Erika Grant, Brandon Kirk (Anna); several great-great grandchildren; great-great-great grandchild along with several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.

Visitation was Friday, December 29, from noon to 3 p.m., and Saturday, December 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper. The funeral service were held Saturday, December 30, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home with Ryan Dupree officiating. She was laid to rest following services, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper. Pallbearers were James Lusk, Ryan Dupree, Lane Jones, Jeremy Owens, Christopher Crowe and Jeffery Crowe.
