Barbara Blevins Burnett, 86 of Bridgeport, Alabama was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 3. Born on July 28, 1939, Barbara was the beloved daughter of Winfred H. Blevins and Sena Nelson Blevins. She was united in marriage to Jerre Don Burnett, with whom she shared a life of love until his passing.  Barbara lived her life rooted in her Baptist faith, finding joy in both the simple and profound blessings of everyday life. She had a love for traveling, but her greatest joy was always found in the company of her family. Known as a caregiver to many, Barbara gave selflessly of her time and heart, tending to loved ones and extending kindness wherever it was needed.  Her days were filled with small delights that reflected her warm spirit—feeding the donkeys she affectionately called “horses,” celebrating Christmas with enthusiasm, and riding in the UTV around the neighborhood. She was cherished by friends and family alike for her hospitality and her famous banana pudding, a treat that became a symbol of her love and generosity.  Barbara’s life was a testament to compassion, faith, and joy. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Barbara is preceded in death by her father Winfred H. Blevins, mother Sena Nelson Blevins, husband Jerre Don Burnett, daughter Loretta McGee, as well as sisters Nancy Culpepper and Blanche Anthony.
