This is an artist rendition of the Aycock Hosiery Mill at South Pittsburg in 1908. Constructed in 1905 and located on Railroad Avenue next door to Lodge Manufacturing Company (which was built in 1910), the building served as a hosiery mill for 50 years. When the hosiery mill went out of business, Lodge Manufacturing Company purchased the building and used it as a warehouse. The building was torn down in 1982/83. Lodge built a new foundry and shipping facility on the property in 2014.
