Arnold “Wayne” Dewayne Brooks, 67, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee was called home on July 11. On March 19, 1957, he was born to the late William Earl Brooks, Sr. and Mary Lou Reeves Brooks. In his earlier years, Wayne was a Heavy Equipment Operator. He loved the outdoors. Wayne loved the farm, working in hay and with cattle. He enjoyed deer and raccoon hunting but most of all he loved and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Wayne is preceded in death by his father, William Earl Brooks, Sr.; mother, Mary Lou Reeves Brooks and brother, William Earl Brooks, Jr.
Left to cherish his memories are his son, Lonnie Brooks; daughter, Crystal Lewis; sister, Robina Hibbs; grandchildren, Walker and Layla Brooks, Christian Lewis, Summer Norris; several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.
Visitation is Saturday, July 13, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, July 14, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee. Funeral services were on Sunday, July 14, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper with Brother Mickey Skates officiating. Arnold will be laid to rest on Sunday, July 14, at New Hope Cemetery, New Hope, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service. Pallbearers were Brent Brown, Lance Brown, Reagan Dykes, Garret Rogers, Corey Hughes and Tim Howard. Honorary pallbearers Bill Bynum, Waymon Blevins, Wade Brown, Greg Blevins and Stanley Blevins.
