
Arlene Martin Robinson, age 80 of Bridgeport, Alabama was summoned to her Heavenly home on Monday, January 12 surrounded by her loving family. On December 5, 1945, her life was placed in the care of her earthly guardians, John D. and Novella Green Martin and on August 6, 1964, they entrusted her care to her husband Loyal Dave Robinson. Into their union were born three children.
While raising her children, she went to work at Lodge Manufacturing where she retired after 33 years of faithful service. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, where she served in the usher ministry.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents John D. and Novelle Green Martin, Dave Robinson, her husband of 44 years and love of her life, her son Vincent, brothers Thomas, Leon, Dave and Charles Martin, and sister Peggy Martin.
Arlene leaves to celebrate her life and memories through her son Tyrone (Carla) Robinson, daughter Cecilia (Durand) Wilson, brother Bill Martin, sister Anna Halford, sisters-in-law Reba and Gail Martin, grandchildren Ty, David, Aaron, Kayla, Kristyn, Terrell, Jamell, Kelsey and Bryan Robinson, Shaniqua, Christopher and Lorenzo Wilson and Dedric Hardrick, 15 great grandchildren, as well as many other family members, friends, and neighbors.
Arlene’s Celebration of Life memorial service was conducted at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg on Monday January 19 at 1 p.m.
Mrs. Robinson was laid to rest at Loyd’s Cemetery in Bridgeport, Alabama.
The family received friends for visitation on Monday, January 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg.
Pallbearers were Ty Robinson, Terrell Robinson, Scottie Tipton, Tracey Thompson, Chester Halford and Dedric Hardric.
Honorary Pallbearers were Aaron Robinson, David Robinson, Jermell Robinson, Lorenzo Wilson, Christopher Wilson and Bryan Robinson.
Arrangements were entrusted to Rogers Funeral Home, South Pittsburg Chapel, 400 Laurel Avenue, South Pittsburg, Tennessee 37380. Phone 423-837-7176.
