Archie Marion Duggan, 90

Our dad, Archie Marion Duggan, 90 of Jasper, went to his heavenly home on March 1. Marion was born to the late J. B. Duggan and Martha Idelle Stonecipher on March 24, 1934. He was a Pastor and a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Fackler, Alabama. Marion was a Mason and retired from TVA and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Marion loved his family and spending time with them, but most of all, he loved God.

Marion is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Fay Kirk Duggan; and grandson, Jeromy Richardson.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, Randy Duggan; daughters, Robin (Eddy) Richardson, Darlene (Bobby) Reed, Missi (Billy) Moore, Brooke (Michael) Green; sisters, Evelyn Rogers, Pat Blevins, 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.

Funeral services are on Tuesday, March 4, at 2 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper with Pastor Mark Wilson officiating. Pastor Clinton Cooksey will say a prayer at the cemetery.

Marion will be laid to rest on Tuesday, March 4, at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper immediately following the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Cory Richardson, Bradley Reed, Chris Rogers, David Rogers, Jeff Kirk and Jason Kirk.

We would like to thank Michelle and Serenity on the Farm, for the amazing care given to our dad.
