Archie Drue Ketchersid, 87, of Whitwell, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday July 9, surrounded by his loving family and close friends. He was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on November 11, 1936 the son of the late Frank and Bertha Ketchersid.
He was of the Baptist faith, and owner of Ketchersid Trucking Company for many years. Archie was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Alhambra Shrine.
He was preceded in death by a son, Perry Ketchersid. Survivors are his loving wife of 70 years, Thera Ketchersid, daughter and son-in-law Amy Ketchersid Lawson and Anthony Lawson, son Steven Ketchersid, sisters Aretta Ketchersid and Evaun Blevins, grandchildren Shanon Ketchersid, Makenzie Ketchersid-Whitacre, Alexis Roberts, Amanda Truitt, Laurn Norton and Ansley Lawson, and numerous great grandchildren.
The family will have a private Celebration of Life service at a later date.
