Goldline Barber Lounge, located outside of downtown Jasper on 3630 Main Street, is a brand new barber shop open to all within Marion County.
First opening Wednesday, March 4, Goldline Barber Lounge is among Marion County’s newest establishments, providing customers with a variety of options for different hairstyles and cuts. Taylen Nunley, owner of Goldline Barber, said operating a barber shop of his own has long been a dream of his since attending barber school, and now that very dream has turned to a reality.
“I didn’t expect to open this soon,” Nunley said. “It kind of just fell into my hands.”
Nunley said Goldline Barber offers a variety of services to clients, ranging from haircuts to straight razor shaves, which he stated his shop is one of the few within the community to offer straight razor shaves, making it a standout for the business.
After graduating barber school, Nunely began his career as a barber in Tracy City, where his talents grew and expanded with time. Eventually, Nunley made his move to Jasper, where he continued his work within The Collective Salon & Day Spa off of Main Street near Dairy Queen. After a year of working with The Collective, Nunley made the decision to finally establish his own lounge.
“I hope customers gain an experience that no one else offers,” Nunley said. “Such as straight razor shaves and overall a good experience.”
Nunley plans to expand his business by welcoming more barbers to work by his side, as he currently serves customers solely within the barber shop. Despite this, the shop has already received much business and support from the community, with reservations already booked during the first week of opening within Jasper. This has left a telltale mark for a promising future, not only for Nunley but also for the Goldine Barber Lounge in Marion County.
