South Pittsburg has welcomed another new business within its city limits: Belle of the Ball, an all-new clothing and accessory boutique store located right off South Cedar Avenue in downtown.

Following the grand opening of the long-awaited Raceway gas station the week prior, the town has once again with open arms welcomed a new establishment into Marion County as city and county officials gathered to celebrate Belle of the Ball’s grand opening and ribbon cutting.

Beth Cooper, a resident of nearby Bridgeport, Ala., serves as the business’s owner, who for much of her life always wanted to operate a girl/women boutique. That very dream officially came to fruition on Saturday, Feb. 28.

Cooper explained the store features a variety of clothes and accessory items, clothing sizes ranging from newborn to plus size. The store also features different accessory items such as jewelry, bows, gift items, and even carrying bags, all of which help to provide a wide range of boutique items for customers to select from.

Cooper noted that by having the business located within downtown South Pittsburg allows not only plenty of new customer traffic for the store itself but also for the surrounding business within town, providing extra support and business to neighboring establishments already rooted in the community.

“I hope that we build up the other small businesses here, and here we can all kind of work together,” Cooper said. “I wanted to include all the other local small businesses in our area. So we chose this location because of the traffic.”

Belle of the Ball, located at 304 South Cedar Avenue, is open every week Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday’s from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for those seeking to buy the latest outfit or gift item from South Pittsburg’s newest addition.
