A Marion County inmate was reported dead while in custody at the county’s jail on Tuesday, March 3.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) began investigating the cause of death after being requested by the 12th Judicial District Attorney Courtney Lynch to look into the case. The inmate found dead was identified as Clifford R. Rector Jr., 45, who was in custody for charges of criminal trespass.
Currently, the cause of death has yet to be revealed as the investigations is ongoing.
