The Smiles, Inc. dental clinic is proud to announce the acquisition of a full time-dentist eliminating the waitlist for individuals without insurance. Smiles, Inc. is a nonprofit dental clinic located in the former Armory at 107 E 10th Street in South Pittsburg. They offer general dental services to low-income uninsured adults. Most services, including extractions, fillings, minor surgery, and cleanings, are provided free of charge to eligible adults, with a nominal fee applicable for partials and dentures. With the recent addition of a full-time dentist, the clinic no longer has a waiting list for uninsured patients. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications promptly to secure an appointment. Past applicants who have not received a response are advised to contact the office and confirm that their current contact information is on file, as changes may have occurred without notification. Application forms are available for download on the clinic’s website, www.smilesclinic. org, or can be obtained directly from the office. For inquiries and appointments, individuals can reach the office at (423) 228-3077. It is important to note that Smiles also accepts TennCare patients as the sole form of insurance. However, due to high demand, there is currently a waiting list for TennCare patients until the full-time dentist is qualified to accept TennCare. Nonetheless, the clinic has a few weekend dentists available to provide care for TennCare patients in the interim.
